I am a certified, licensed English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, as well as a Teacher Trainer and Professional Learning Specialist for English Language Learners (ELLs). My focus includes providing ESL professional development and conducting virtual training workshops for educators in this field.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in modern languages and further pursued a Master of Arts degree in Secondary Foreign Language Education and English as a Second Language.
My published master's thesis is titled, Computer Assisted Instruction-Its Value to Second Language Learners. Additionally, I have authored books such as ESL Strategies and Language Teaching Ideas and The BALL is in Your Court-Learning a Foreign Language.
I have gained extensive experience teaching Spanish, French, German, and English as a Second Language (ESL) in public schools. Moreover, I have many years of experience teaching English privately to both children and adults. I am also trained as a certified accent and pronunciation coach.
As a college faculty member, I have years of expertise in teaching methods courses and training future and current teachers on how to instruct English Language Learners (ELLs) as part of a university program for teacher training and certification.
