Classroom Strategies for Teaching Content to ELLs is a hands-on professional development workshop focused on helping educators adapt existing lesson plans to meet the needs of English Language Learners at the beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels of language proficiency. 


Participants will examine their current instructional materials and learn how to adjust language demands while maintaining grade-level content and academic rigor.

Teachers will practice modifying directions, tasks, and assessments so that all learners can access core content without simplifying expectations. 


The workshop emphasizes practical scaffolding strategies that can be immediately applied across subject areas.

Confidently Teaching ELLs is an interactive professional development workshop designed to help educators feel prepared and confident when teaching English Language Learners at all stages of language acquisition. 


Participants will explore the characteristics of beginning, intermediate, and advanced ESL students and learn how instructional choices shift as students progress in language development.

Through guided collaboration, educators will brainstorm, and design classroom activities tailored to each proficiency level. 


The workshop focuses on building teacher confidence by clarifying what effective instruction looks like at each stage and providing practical tools that support student participation and academic growth.
